Bab El Shaaria Station Branding
We are honored to be commissioned by Régie Autonome des Transports Parisiens @ratp @mobilitycairo the International French established company for public transportation, to inspire people every day through an arts and cultural program inside the metro stations of Green Line 3, with the Ministry of Transportation as well as the National Authority for Tunnels on branding the Metro Station for one of Egypt’s most authentic neighborhoods “Bab El Shaaria”. Bab El Shaariya is one of the most historic neighborhoods in Cairo, it used to be a residence for the city's dignitaries and those with authority and influence, then it turned into the neighborhood of work, art and commerce, where craftsmen, merchants, and artists lived. Al-Maqrizi, the Sheikh of Egyptian historians, mentioned that the neighborhood was named after a group of Moroccan Berbers called” Banu El Shaariya”.
